The drainpipe vases are available in round or square shapes in five different colours. They combine slip casting and wheel techniques. The production is completely handmade and follows a rigorous process. The vases are shaped in moulds made of plaster, go through the kiln for a first passage, are being glazed in the inside then in the outside and go back into the kiln. Each vase is then manually dipped into rubber and eventually trimmed in a final step. The amount of material used during the transformation process is impressive and the overall process takes several days to be completed
Stylish and contemporary, the Stem vases will brighten a room whatever the season. The mix of ceramics and bright neon colours make this vase a statement design piece. Completely handmade in Taz’s studio in North Devon, the production includes an impressive number of successive stages, using both slip casting and wheel techniques.
The vases are shaped in moulds made of plaster, go through the kiln for a first passage, are glazed inside and outside, before finally going back into the kiln. Each vase is then manually dipped into rubber and trimmed. The process takes quite a few days before the vases are fully completed. But the wait is more than worth it once you appreciate this great piece of design made just for you. Alone or grouped with different vase shapes and colours, the result is fantastic.

Ceramics, Glaze, Rubber solution
A specialist rubber solution has been used to colour the vase. Please treat the rubber with care. Wipe clean both the ceramics and the rubber gently and do not leave in direct sunlight. Please take care not to pull the rubber away from the ceramic. An aftercare service is available if any of the rubber gets damaged.
“What is great with ceramics is that you do everything from A to Z, from the idea to the production.”
